Ingredients
300ml tepid water
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon table salt
400g strong white bread flour
1½ fast action yeast
1 medium onion, finely chopped
60g grated cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil for glazing
Method
- Put all the ingredients in the breadmaker and run the dough programme.
- Once it’s finished, knead the dough and shape into 8 rolls.
- Place on a greased baking tray, cover with a clean tea towel, and leave in a warm place for 20-25 minutes until they’ve approximately doubled in size.
- Meanwhile preheat the oven to 170°C (fan oven), 190°C (conventional oven).
- Brush the rolls with olive oil.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.
