Ingredients
100g plain chocolate
75g butter
2 tbsp golden syrup (approx 75g)
75g Rice Krispies
32 Cadbury’s mini eggs
16 cake cases
Method
- Break the chocolate into pieces and put in a large microwaveable bowl
- Cut the butter up into small chunks and add them to the bowl along with the golden syrup.
- Microwave the mixture for 20 seconds on full power (category E oven). Stir everything together then put back in the microwave for another 20 seconds. Keep doing this until everything’s melted together being careful not to overheat otherwise the chocolate will separate. It should take about 3 or 4 sessions in the microwave in total.
- Stir in the Rice Krispies carefully without smashing them until everything is thoroughly mixed together.
- Spoon the mixture into the cake cases – approximately 1 heaped dessertspoonful per case.
- Make a small indent in the top of each cake and decorate each one with 2 eggs.
- Put in the fridge for a minimum of half an hour to set.
