Inspired by our Spanish trips, this dish makes an excellent light lunch or starter. Very spicy so not for the faint-hearted!

serves 2

Ingredients

200g raw king prawns (peeled weight)
4-5 tbsp olive oil (enough to cover the base of a small frying pan)
3 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
½ tsp picante pimenton (hot smoked paprika)

Method

  1. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over a medium heat.
  2. Add the garlic slices and fry for a few minutes (you’re aiming to soften the garlic and just start to colour it).
  3. Add the prawns and fry for 2-3 mins until cooked through (i.e. turned pink and opaque).
  4. Take the frying pan off the heat and stir in the pimenton.
  5. Serve with crusty bread.
